Twelve Avalanche teams opened the season over Labor Day weekend, competing in tournaments in Los Angeles, Anaheim, Riverside and San Diego. The club put on a strong showing, earning one championship and three additional runner-up finishes.

Twelve Avalanche teams competed in four Southern California tournaments over Labor Day weekend.
10U B1 won the Summer Escape championship. 12U AA, 14U A and 16U AA finished as runners-up, while 12U A, 12U BB and 14U AA advanced to the semifinals.
10U B1 completes a 5–0 championship run.
10U B1 scored 31 goals and allowed five across five games. The Avalanche recorded three shutouts before defeating the Ice Dogs 4–3 in Monday’s final to win the Summer Escape championship.

Jack Bowkus Labor Day Showdown
All three Avalanche teams advanced from pool play into the elimination rounds.
12U AA reaches the championship game after four wins.
12U AA opened with a 9–2 win, added two more pool-play victories and defeated Jr. Reign 4–3 in the semifinal. The team finished 4–2 and took second place after six games.

The Avalanche outscored opponents 21–4 through four pool games, including a 3–0 shutout and a 9–2 win on Sunday. The team advanced to the semifinal and finished the tournament 4–1.

Two close wins send 14U AA to the semifinal.
14U AA defeated Santa Clara 4–3 in a shootout and beat OCHC by the same score. Those wins moved the Avalanche into the semifinal, and the team scored 18 goals over five games.

2026 Summer Escape
Five Avalanche teams competed at Anaheim ICE, highlighted by the 10U B1 championship and 14U A runner-up finish.
10U B1 finishes 5–0 and wins the Summer Escape.
10U B1 scored 31 goals and allowed five across five games. The Avalanche recorded three shutouts before defeating the Ice Dogs 4–3 in the championship game.

Back-to-back wins send 14U A to the final.
After the opening game, 14U A defeated the Jr. Kings and Jr. Ducks by identical 6–2 scores. The two wins secured a place in Monday’s championship game and a runner-up finish.

12U BB reaches the overtime semifinal.
12U BB opened with an 8–1 win, added a 5–1 victory on Sunday and allowed only six goals across four games. The team advanced to the semifinal, where the LA Lions won 2–1 in overtime.

8U B1 records five wins in an 11-game jamboree.
8U B1 finished the short-format schedule with five wins, two shutouts and 28 goals. The team closed the tournament Monday with an 8–1 win.

8U B2 played 11 short-format games over four days and scored five goals. The team had the club’s busiest schedule of the weekend.

California Dreamin’ Labor Day Festival
Three Avalanche teams competed at the California Dreamin’ Labor Day Festival, where 16U AA advanced to the championship game.
16U AA advances unbeaten through pool play.
16U AA earned two wins and two ties in pool play, including a 3–0 shutout against Jr. Reign. The Avalanche reached the championship game and finished runner-up after a 2–1 loss to Santa Clara.

14U BB closes the tournament with a one-goal game.
14U BB competed in four games against a challenging mixed BB/B field. In the final game, the Avalanche held unbeaten Empire to a 2–1 result.

10U B2 scored in every game and played the Ice Hawks to a 2–1 result. The four-game tournament gave the team an early measure of the competition.

Fun in the Sun
16U A was the club’s lone entrant at the Fun in the Sun tournament in San Diego.
