Tryouts Are In The Books!
A weekend the Avalanche family will remember.
WHAT A WEEKEND. First and foremost, thank you to all of our players and families for the hard work, dedication, and commitment shown leading into tryouts. From spring hockey and skills sessions to camps, clinics, and countless hours at the rink, the preparation and excitement were evident every time a player stepped on the ice.
The buzz around the rink was electric all weekend long, with so many Avalanche families coming together to celebrate the start of another season.
“Great programs don’t just find talent. They develop it.”
Around The Community
Yard Signs Are Everywhere!
ONE of the highlights of tryout weekend was seeing Avalanche yard signs sprout up all over Orange County. Our sincere thanks to every household who picked one up and proudly displayed it in their neighborhood — they’ve been a welcome sight, helping spread the Avalanche message throughout our community.
Keep posting photos of your signs and tagging us on Instagram. We’ll continue sharing your posts and getting more signs into the hands of Avalanche families.
Let’s paint Orange County Avalanche maroon and blue.
The Milestone
Three Teams. One Pipeline.
For the first time in Avalanche history, we’ll field three AA teams. That achievement is exciting on its own, but what makes it especially meaningful is how many of those players began right here in our own program.
Many of our AA players started their hockey journey in the Aliso Viejo Ice Palace in-house program before advancing through the Avalanche development pathway. Our coaching systems, player development model, and commitment to long-term growth continue to create opportunities for players willing to put in the work.
The proof is on the ice.
Development Works
The Path Is Real
One of Avalanche’s goals has always been to create real opportunities for players to grow. Not every player begins as an AA player — but every player deserves the chance to become one.
Today, we see the results of years of commitment from players, families, coaches, and staff who believed in that process. When a young skater steps onto the ice for our Development Sessions, they should know the path is real — others have walked it before them.

Facility Maintenance Update
THE ALISO VIEJO ICE PALACE will be closed for scheduled summer maintenance beginning Monday, June 29.
This closure should have minimal impact on Avalanche programming, as our summer schedule is lighter during this period. The facility is currently expected to reopen in mid-July, and we’ll continue to provide updates as work progresses.
News For Your Teams

THE PRO SHOP is open today (Tuesday) and Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. if you haven’t been sized or need anything regarding team and pro shop orders. After this week we’ll begin placing orders, so please take care of this soon.
Watch our social media channels — next week we’ll begin announcing the 2026–27 Avalanche teams and coaching staff. If your player has earned a roster spot, team-specific communications will follow with schedules, season planning, and next steps.
Exciting things are ahead.
